Events programme revealed
A range of attractions and shows has been arranged for the 2012 Margam Festival.
The event runs throughout next month, beginning with a family launch bash at the Orangery on Sunday, July 1, and ending on Saturday, July 28, with an evening of opera in Margam Castle.
Attractions in between include West Glamorgan Youth Music at The Orangery, the West Glamorgan Youth Music Training Ensemble, an arts party for children aged four-12 and their families and a black tie classical opera supper.
The latter features soprano Angharad Morgan, bass Siôn Goronwy, mezzo Caryl Hughes and accompanist Sharon Richards.
July 27′s Musicals at the Castle will see visitors take picnic hampers to enjoy sounds from Broadway and West End shows.
The festival is organised by Neath Port Talbot Council. Leader Ali Thomas said: “It’s wonderful to see the festival continue to grow. It brings a wealth of talent here.”
